Note: A classic subject, in good condition and with the correct period frame. This painting was listed by the artist in one of his ledger/inventory journals and we have retained his original colloquial spelling in the title of "tobacco." In that same document, the artist noted the location of the subject as "on upper Salt (Creek) about one mile east of Taggart. South side of road." This record is held by the Indiana Historical Society.
