Manolo Valdés: Pequeñas Esculturas (Small Sculptures) is now on view through May 7, 2018, in Rosenbaum Contemporary’s Boca Raton gallery, 150 Yamato Road, Boca Raton, Fla.

The exhibition displays a curatorial selection of Valdés’ smaller sculptures available for acquisition. Internationally known for a distinctive and signature aesthetic, Valdés has diligently crafted smaller studio sculptures alongside the monumental public art projects that encase all the art historical contexts Valdés holds dear. Two monumental-sized sculptures are also on view outside the gallery.

Born in Valencia, Spain, in 1942, Valdés is one of the few artists who have mastered multiple mediums including drawing, painting, sculpture and printmaking. In each form he is considered highly original, technically sound and constantly provocative.

Valdés’s works are included in numerous public and private collections including, but not limited to, the De Young Museum of San Francisco; Peggy Guggenheim Collection, Venice, Italy; Hamburger Kunsthalle, Hamburg, Germany; Menil Foundation, Houston, Texas; Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York; Moderna Museet Art, Stockholm, Sweden; Musée National d’Art Moderne, Centre Georges Pompidou, Paris, France; Museo Nacional Centre de Arte Reina Sofía, Madrid, Spain; Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, Texas and Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, Massachusetts. Valdés’ iconic sculptures are exhibited outdoors in the parks and gardens of major cities such as the New York Botanical Gardens; Hofgarten, Düsseldorf; and Chatsworth House, United Kingdom.

Rosenbaum Contemporary, founded in 1979, is based in Boca Raton with a second gallery inside the St. Regis Bal Harbour Hotel in Miami. The gallery caters to international collectors interested in investment-quality works by Postwar, Modern and Contemporary masters and presents nationally recognized museum-level exhibitions throughout the year. The gallery also offers a wide range of free services to collectors worldwide including acquisition advice, art consulting, sourcing of artists, art collection building and management and resale of select works of art.

Beatriz Esguerra Art is pleased to announce its presence in Dallas during April, the city’s art month, with a POP-UP EXHIBITION IN THE DESIGN DISTRICT. It will feature works by international master Fernando Botero, large scale sculpture by established Colombian artists Hugo Zapata and Ricardo Cardenas and noted painter Pedro Ruiz, alongside select work by three other gallery artists. BEA is hoping to make Dallas it’s second home in the US. Its commitment to the annual Dallas Art Fair, desire to bring Colombian artists to a wider audience and the warm reception it has received from the Dallas arts community over the past 4 years has been encouraging.

BEA has selected works that emphasize the richness and diversity present in Colombia’s contemporary art. The country’s complex culture, geography and customs are expressed with unique vision and technique in each of the exhibited artworks. This exhibition demonstrates BEA’s dedication to supporting artists that adhere to values such as quality, permanence, aesthetics, creativity and authenticity.

BEA will also be present at the Dallas Art Fair 2018.
