Note: One of the artist's best, and in excellent condition and retaining its original frame. This picture was purchased by Delta Kappa Gamma (an honor society for women teachers, librarians, and school administrators) in recognition of Edna McGuire Boyd of Greencastle, Indiana. Mrs. Boyd was President of the group when it raised the funds to build its national headquarters in Austin, Texas. This painting was central to that new building, and the decor was designed around the painting.
